Eight heads of ministries and agencies signed the MoU on the Prevention and Handling of Violence in Education Units (PPKSP).
"This is the agreement that I have been waiting for. Since I became a minister, I always handle cases of child abuse. Usually, it occurred when the school was quiet or during holiday," she noted in a statement received here on Tuesday.
This signing of the MoU is a manifestation of the spirit of collaboration for the eight ministries and institutions to implement the prevention of violence against children, especially in the educational environment.
Rismaharini is optimistic that synergy from related stakeholders could aid in realizing an inclusive, diverse, and safe learning environment for all.
The minister underscored the need for joint handling to address the occurrence of violence against children while also necessitating broader synergy to tackle the complexity of challenges that must be faced.
"This agreement is very good. However, we still need help from the community. I am sure that together, our children will be in a comfortable and safe place wherever they are, including in the educational unit environment," she remarked.

The minister also called on all parties to take care of the Indonesian children as their own.
"With that, our children will always be protected. My child is a child of all of us. Other people's children are our children. If you think so, then our children will be safe wherever they are," she emphasized.
In order to create an inclusive, diverse, and safe learning environment for all, Rismaharini also took part in the PPKSP MoU signing at the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology office on August 4.
