He won the men's 10-meter running target mixed event with a score of 378 points, beating North Korea's Kwon Kwangil (377 points) and South Korea's Jeong You Jin (377 points).
Earlier, on Monday (September 24), Putra won the first medal for Indonesia in the men's 10-meter running target event. It was also the first gold for Indonesian shooters in Asian Games history.
Putra also secured a bronze medal in the men's running target team event with Akbar Muhammad Badri and Julio Irfandi. The trio scored 1,667 points.
In the earlier games in Jakarta in 2018, the Indonesian shooting team bagged a silver medal in the 10m running target mixed team event.
Indonesia has sent 23 shooters to the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou. The Indonesian shooting federation is aiming for three medals at the Games, which are held every four years.
