the third phase will focus on three sectors, namely the green sector...Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Nusantara Capital Authority (OIKN) informed on Friday that the third phase of project groundbreakings at the new national capital (IKN) Nusantara in East Kalimantan will be carried out on December 20 and 21, 2023.
"The third phase of groundbreaking at IKN will be carried out on December 20–21, 2023," OIKN spokesperson Troy Pantouw said at a virtual press conference on investment development at IKN on Friday.
According to the deputy for investment and financing at OIKN, Agung Wicaksono, the third phase will focus on three sectors, namely the green sector, the non-state budget funding state institution sector, and the ecosystem to complement the national axis.
"The first is the green sector such as reforestation projects around the national axis," Wicaksono explained.

Meanwhile, for the ecosystem to complement the national axis, the groundbreaking of projects for the residential ecosystem, electricity-based transportation, and hotels will be carried out, he said.
The government will also build a hospital under the state institution sector through non-state budget funding, he added.
"The government hospital will be under the Health Ministry to treat heart and stroke diseases," he informed.
Besides the government hospital, the groundbreaking of three private hospitals will also be carried out to serve the community.

As of December, OIKN has carried out two groundbreaking phases at IKN. The first phase was conducted on September 21–22, with the investment value reaching Rp23.1 trillion.
The second phase was carried out on November 1–2, with the investment value reaching Rp13.1 trillion.
Wicaksono informed that OIKN has received 328 letters of intents (LoIs), a majority of them from domestic investors.
The 328 LoIs comprise 187 LoIs from Indonesia, 28 from Singapore, 25 from Japan, 21 from China, 20 from Malaysia, 101 from South Korea, 7 from the United States, 4 from Spain, 3 from Finland, and 24 from other countries.
