"No, we will not (pay)," he stated after attending the Plenary Cabinet Economy Session at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Monday.
The minister remarked that currently, PDNS 2 can be accessed and the ransomware virus attack at PDNS 2 is being evaluated.
"We are evaluating it. BSSN is conducting the forensics," Setiadi remarked.
He also clarified that the attack did not occur at PDN but rather at PDNS 2.
"The attack is not targeted at PDN but PDNS 2 in Surabaya," he revealed.
Regarding the security of public data due to the attack, the minister ensured that the government will continue to protect public data.

Earlier, Setiadi stated that the entity that attacked the data center with the ransomware virus had demanded a ransom of US$8 million.
On a separate occasion, head of the National Cyber and Crypto Agency (BSSN), Lieutenant General Hinsa Siburian, stated that the disruption at PDNS 2, which affected several public services since June 20, was the result of a cyberattack caused by ransomware called Brain Cipher.
"This ransomware is the latest development of the LockBit 3.0 ransomware. This ransomware is continuously evolving. Based on forensics carried out by BSSN, this is the latest sample," he remarked.
The government, through cross-agency coordination between the Ministry of Communication and Informatics, BSSN, POLRI Cyber Crime, and Telkom Sigma, is currently continuing to investigate this cyberattack, he revealed.
Until Monday, some of the services that were restored included those from the Directorate General of Immigration such as visa and residence permit services, immigration checkpoint services (TPI), passport services, Visa on Arrival (VoA) services, Visa on Boarding (VoB), and immigration document management services.
Moreover, services of the Policy Institute for Procurement of Goods and Services (LKPP), the Electronic-based Event Permit Service of the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, as well as public services of the Kediri city government have also recovered.
