Head of the task force, Danis H. Sumadilaga, informed that the ART train will undergo a trial on August 5, 2024.
He said that the stops for the ART train are still under construction. The stops could also serve as train-charging spots.
The ART will be tested in Nusantara on August 5, Transportation Minister Budi Karya Sumadi announced recently.
According to the plan, the city will get three ART train sets, two of which will be operated, and the third will serve as a backup.
The ART train, which can reach a speed of up to 40 kilometers per hour, will also serve as feeder transportation during the 79th Independence Day ceremony on August 17.
It is expected to become a smart transportation symbol in Nusantara and a model for other big cities in Indonesia.
