Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Indonesian Migrant Workers Protection (KP2MI) supported President Prabowo Subianto's Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program by distributing meals to 600 children at Turi 1 Public Middle School, Sleman district, Yogyakarta, on Tuesday.

The 600 children consisted of elementary school (SD), junior high school (SMP), and senior high school (SMA) students, as well as children of former migrant workers (PMI), according to a press release issued by the ministry here on Tuesday.

According to the ministry, the distribution of free nutritious meals was meant to support the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) program initiated by President Prabowo and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

The program initiated by the President is being carried out to meet the nutritional needs of children, with a target of reaching 80 million beneficiaries across Indonesia.

Deputy Minister of P2MI, Christina Aryani, distributed free nutritious meals at the school.

"Here is nutritious food from the President. We hope that you can always be healthy and enthusiastic in learning. When you grow up, hopefully, you can realize your dreams and become successful, and can make your parents proud," she told the students.
