"They planned to realize the investment in 2026. However, we are pushing it to 2025," he remarked after opening the National Investment Coordination Meeting in Jakarta on Wednesday.
He highlighted that intensive communication continues to be conducted with Apple regarding the form of investment and sales vendors in Indonesia.
According to Roeslani, Apple will bring large vendors to Indonesia to sell its products worth US$1 billion, equivalent to the investment value in Indonesia.
"This is only the first vendor. There are still many upcoming vendors because, from one iPhone 16, there will be 320 vendors," he explained.
He added that Apple had prepared points regarding the investment plan in Indonesia.
"We only need an improvement. Apple had sent (the investment plan) in writing," the minister revealed.

He highlighted that Apple will likely invest in cell phone component production in Indonesia.
Earlier, Minister of Industry Agus Gumilang Kartasasmita said that Apple would disburse US$1 billion in investment to Indonesia. This investment also marks Apple's latest mobile phone product, the iPhone 16, which will be circulating in the Indonesian market.
Kartasasmita remarked that Apple's decision to invest US$1 billion in Indonesia reflects the government's commitment to prioritizing the principle of justice in doing business.
The government snubbed Apple's earlier investment proposal worth US$100 million as it was not considered proportional to its sales in Indonesia, which reached 2.5 million iPhone units in 2023.
The large investment value will allow the domestic manufacturing industry to enter Apple's global supply chain.
Moreover, the industry will support larger labor absorption and thereby have a real impact on Indonesian society.
