According to the Presidential Secretariat's official statement here on Jakarta, the award was presented directly by Malaysia's King, the 17th Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Sultan Ibrahim, at the National Palace in Malaysia.
D.KI Johor, introduced on July 31, 1886, is one of the highest honors conferred by the Johor Government.
This prestigious award is granted under the motto "Concord is a Blessing" to Malay rulers, close relatives of the royal family, and foreign countries' leaders who have significantly contributed to strengthening bilateral relations.
In addition, D.KI Johor carries profound historical and symbolic significance.
The award includes a gold necklace inscribed with Sultan Abu Bakar's name in Jawi script, symbolizing glory and unity.
Furthermore, a large star with a nine-pointed design represents the values of leadership and togetherness upheld by the Kingdom of Johor.
With this honor, President Prabowo joins a distinguished group of world leaders who have received similar accolades.
Noteworthy past recipients include Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Saadul Khairi Waddien (1960), Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzadin Waddaulah (1969), President Soeharto (1990), Pengiran Isteri Mariam (1997), Hamad bin Isa al Khalifa (2017), and Pengiran Muda Mahkota al-Muhtadee Billah (2023).
