"We need to ensure that all investments managed by Danantara bring about concrete impacts on the economy and the welfare of the people," he told Danantara CEO Rosan Roeslani, as cited in his ministry's release on Monday.
During a meeting in Jakarta on February 27, Pambudy contended that Danantara could play a pivotal role in achieving Indonesia's goal of eight percent economic growth by 2029.
He added that the newly founded investment agency is designed to facilitate the implementation of the government's significant programs and initiatives, including the Free Nutritious Meals program, which aims to provide people with equitable access to quality food.
The minister also highlighted the government's determination to empower communities, revitalize schools, and enhance infrastructure quality in rural regions.
"The government has been striving to consolidate and integrate all the programs for the next year," he pointed out.
In this regard, Pambudy emphasized that Danantara plays the role of an instrument to attract investments supporting strategic programs.
To this end, the minister and the Danantara CEO made the most of their meeting to explore viable investment management models, most notably those implemented in Singapore and China.
Pambudy emphasized that the PPN Ministry is ready to collaborate with Danantara to draft a memorandum of understanding formalizing their cooperation in mobilizing available resources effectively for the benefit of the people.
"The PPN Ministry is ready to synergize with Danantara to ensure that every investment policy implemented contributes to the realization of an inclusive and sustainable economy," he remarked.
