In a statement released on Friday, he informed that floodwater pumping has been carried out for residential housing that is at a lower elevation than the main road.
He conveyed this while reviewing the Sahara Indah Permai 3 Housing in Satria Jaya village, North Tambun, Bekasi district, West Java.
"This area is located lower than the road. It will take a long time to dry the water. Thus, we brought water pump to suck the flood (water)," he said.
According to Suharyanto, the Sahara Indah Permai 3 Housing was severely affected by the flood since Tuesday. On the fourth day, the floodwaters began to recede, leaving just 30 centimeters of water in front of the housing gate.
To accelerate flood handling, weather modification operations have been carried out since Tuesday with positive results, he informed.
"The operation has gone well. Although it cannot stop the rain, this effort can reduce rainfall in several areas," he added.

Furthermore, an integrated weather modification operation will be carried out from March 10–20, 2025, by various regions, he disclosed.
"There is a prediction of heavy rainfall on March 10–20. We hope this integrated operation can reduce rainfall in various areas to prevent further major flooding," Suharyanto said.
He then reminded residents to increase preparedness and vigilance, including turning off electricity during floods. This can minimize the risk of electrocution due to a short circuit from electric cables getting exposed to floodwater.
According to the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysical Agency (BMKG), floodwaters reaching a height of 1–4 meters flowed downstream from the Ciliwung river basin (DAS) in Puncak, Bogor, to several areas in Bekasi, Jakarta, and Depok on Monday.
The flash floods were triggered by heavy rainfall in the preceding days.
The extreme rainfall is believed to have caused the Ciliwung DAS to overflow. The resulting flash floods inundated several sub-districts in Bogor city and Bogor district, with floodwaters moving downstream to Jakarta, Depok, Bekasi, and Tangerang.
