Minister Yuliarto conveyed this during his meeting with Özvar in Ankara on Thursday (April 10).
During the meeting, Özvar elaborated on his institution's responsibilities regarding higher education and its role in coordinating between universities in Turkey.
He also emphasized the significant potential for cooperation between the two countries in research and innovation.
Various initiatives also discussed to strengthen cooperation included the establishment of a Joint Working Group between Indonesia and Turkey, set to launch with a kick-off meeting on May 22, 2025, involving 10 representatives from each country.
The meeting will focus on detailing the cooperation program and the submission of proposals from each party.
"This is our effort to strengthen cultural and educational relations. We also planned to open an Indonesian Language and Literature program at Istanbul University," Yuliarto noted in a statement on Friday.

He elaborated that other forms of cooperation that were agreed upon include joint research funding between professors from 5-10 universities in Indonesia and Turkey, focusing on agriculture and food, health, artificial intelligence (AI), semiconductors, and energy.
In addition, the two countries agreed to implement joint and double degree programs at the master's and doctoral levels, with a co-supervision scheme between professors from both nations, he explained.
The two countries will also conduct an online conference to finalize this cooperation plan.
Members of the Indonesian delegation attending the meeting comprised Minister of Education and Technology Brian Yuliarto, Indonesian Consul General in Istanbul Darianto Harsono, and Minister Counselor of the Indonesian Embassy in Ankara Yudhi Ardian.
Meanwhile, the Turkish delegation consists of Özvar, accompanied by executive board member Naci Gundogan, and presidential advisor M. Turker Ari.
