"With the blessings of Bismillahirrahmanirrahim, today, June 5, 2025, I declare the launch of the Transjabodetabek service for the Blok M-Bogor route and the extension of corridor 13," said DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung at the inauguration at Blok M Terminal in Jakarta on Thursday.
The route is an extension of corridor 13, making it the 14th corridor for Transjabodetabek, he added.
The Bogor-Blok M route is also the fifth Transjabodetabek route, and plans are underway to add three more routes.
"As we all know, the Blok M-Bogor route is called P11, and I just learnt from Mr. Director of Transjakarta that the 'P' stands for Pakuwon," he informed.
The Bogor-Block M route has 20 stops: 11 in Bogor and nine in Jakarta.
The average travel time on the route is estimated at 90 minutes in normal conditions. During heavy traffic, it may take up to 110 minutes.
A total of 16 buses will operate on the Bogor-Blok M route, with a waiting time (headway) of 15 minutes, to serve the public.
Rani Mauliani, deputy chairperson of the DKI Jakarta Regional House of Representatives (DPRD), said that Transjakarta requires connectivity and collaboration with surrounding cities to improve public transport.
"Jakarta cannot remain isolated, given that many of Jakarta's daytime residents originate from Bogor, Tangerang, and South Tangerang," she pointed out.
It is hoped that the presence of public transportation will help realize Jakarta's goal of reducing traffic congestion.
Including Bogor-Blok M, five Transjabodetabek routes are currently operational. The four others are PIK 2-Blok M, Vida Bekasi-Cawang, Alam Sutera-Blok M, and Sawangan-Lebak Bulus.
