Jakarta (ANTARA) - Indonesian Investment Management Agency (Danantara) and Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) announced the launch of a joint Russia-Indonesia Investment Platform (RIDNIP), with an initial capital of 2 billion euros.

The agreement on its formation was signed between RDIF CEO Kirill Dmitriev and Danantara CEO Rosan Roeslani on the sidelines of the 2025 St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) on Thursday (June 19).

"Partnership with RDIF marks an important step in advancing Danantara Indonesia's strategy to mobilize capital for Indonesia's long-term national priorities," Roeslani noted according to the written statement on Friday.

Through RIDNIP, Danantara will provide cross-border investments to strategic sectors to strengthen economic resilience, encourage industrial transformation, and foster sustainable and long-term economic development for both nations.

He stated that the new agency will focus on investing in promising Russian and Indonesian companies operating in strategic sectors to intensify bilateral cooperation in technology, trade, and economy.

RIDNIP will also function as a strategic platform for the bilateral transfer of technology and facilitate the exchange of industrial knowledge, applicable research, and advanced solutions for Indonesia and Russia.

By encouraging mutual innovation and capability development, Indonesia and Russia will enjoy advancements in industry, innovative ecosystems, and technological independence across strategic sectors, from infrastructure to food resilience.

"We see the agency as a platform for sustainable value creation in line with our missions on cooperation, diversification, and development," Roeslani stated.

Meanwhile, RDIF CEO Dmitriev described the partnership with Danantara as a step to advance investments and reflect new potentials for joint projects in energy, infrastructure, agriculture, and other strategic sectors.

"This agreement also shows our shared commitment to technological advancements, encourages innovation-driven growth, and increases the economic competitiveness of our two countries," Dmitriev remarked.
