During a meeting with the Head of Mission of the Georgian Embassy in Jakarta, Tornike Nozadze, Law Minister Supratman Andi Agtas praised Georgia for developing regulations to integrate all public services.
Indonesia is keen to learn more about Georgia’s governance model, technological frameworks, and the impact on the quality of public services and public perception.
“I warmly welcome the visit and offer from the government of Georgia to collaborate and coordinate further in enhancing public services in Indonesia, particularly within the Ministry of Law, by learning Georgia’s experience with the Public Service Hall,” Agtas stated.
He informed that while Indonesia has made efforts to improve access to public services, the services are not yet fully integrated.
“In Indonesia, we already have Mal Pelayanan Publik (MPPs/Public Service Mall), but we are still facing challenges in integrating all services into a single platform,” he explained.
Currently, there are around 500 separate public services under the ministry’s purview alone that remain unintegrated. It is hoped that by the end of this year, all data and licensing services within the ministry will be integrated through e-GovTech.
Meanwhile, Nozadze emphasized that digital transformation to integrate various types of public services into a centralized portal requires a massive effort.
“The biggest challenge lies in the diversity of services, which requires better structuring and a clear starting point. We learned from our own mistakes — digital transformation is measured by how well the databases are managed,” he said.
He expressed the hope of further collaboration with Indonesia, particularly with the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, to ensure a smooth and impactful partnership.
Georgia was the first country to establish a Public Service Hall, a centralized management system that brings together over 450 types of public services under a single roof.
