The talent mapping will utilize an AI-based DNA test created by Ary Ginanjar, founder of the ESQ Leadership Center.
“This tool allows us to quickly identify students' interests and talents. With this data, teachers at Sekolah Rakyat will find it easier to guide their students accordingly,” Minister Yusuf remarked ahead of a visit to a pilot Sekolah Rakyat program at Handayani Center in East Jakarta on Wednesday.
He remarked that the ministry would receive the testing tools at no cost, enabling teachers to build more personalized learning strategies based on each student’s profile.
Ginanjar echoed the minister’s statement, saying that the tool provides large-scale, fast, and accurate assessments of students’ interests and potential, making early intervention and guidance possible.
Students only need to answer 99 questions in 10 minutes to determine their aptitude and interests in fields such as STEM, languages, or social sciences and humanities.
“From the outset—even if they come from underprivileged backgrounds—we will know their potential. This will enable us to guide them precisely, even to the point of job placement. Teachers can also apply personalized teaching methods without forcing students into unsuitable tracks,” Ary explained.
He expressed hope that the AI-assisted test would help prevent students from ending up in the wrong academic streams and reduce incidents of bullying stemming from mismatched learning approaches.
