XP was deported on Saturday, July 12, from I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali.
In a press statement issued on Sunday, Acting Director General of Immigration Yuldi Yusman said that XP had been indicted by the Guangzhou Prosecutor’s Office in January. He was apprehended by Indonesian police in Tabanan, Bali, on July 10, and was found without a valid stay permit.
Following his arrest, XP was transferred to the Denpasar Immigration Office for further examination and placed in a detention facility.
"This deportation process complies fully with applicable legal provisions, while also prioritizing humanitarian principles and international cooperation," Yuldi stated.
He added that Indonesia’s Directorate General of Immigration maintains active coordination with international counterparts, particularly in exchanging data and information on foreign nationals, to prevent fugitives from using Indonesia as a safe haven.
According to Yuldi, the arrest and deportation of this international fugitive demonstrate Indonesia’s strong commitment to supporting global efforts in combating transnational crime.
"Indonesia is not a hiding place for fugitives evading justice in their home countries," he emphasized.
