Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs initiated the Digital Government Clinic program to accelerate digital transformation in all regions through innovation and public service collaboration between the central and regional governments.

"The Digital Government Clinic is a digital channel for the central and regional government to share experiences, innovations, and solutions," the ministry's Director General of Digital Government Technology, Mira Tayyiba, said in a statement here on Friday.

She explained that the Digital Government Clinic was created to support joint efforts to reduce the digital gap in various regions by assisting regional governments.

"Through this clinic, the ministry is providing opportunities for regional governments to consult and convey the various difficulties that they face in carrying out digital transformation at the regional level," she said.

Some of the services provided are, among other things, digital assessments, consultation on technology adoption, mentoring on e-government, and digitalization of priority sectors in accordance with each region's needs.

Furthermore, the program also serves as a platform for the transfer of knowledge, allowing regional governments to share their best practices with each other.

"I want to emphasize that digital transformation requires collaboration. While we create the standards, provincial, city, and district governments are the ones that execute the implementation in accordance with the characteristics of each region," she said.

According to Tayyiba, the initiative is part of the national strategy of realizing a user-centric digital government. To achieve the goal, one of the keys is the government's ability to exchange data between institutions, thereby making it easier for people to access various services.

"People will only need to input data once, and for the rest, the government will ensure the exchange of data runs safely and effectively," she said.
