Tangerang, Banten (ANTARA) - State airport operator PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (InJourney Airports) is targeting a Certified 5-Star Airport Rating for Soekarno-Hatta (Soetta) International Airport at the Skytrax World Airport Awards 2026.

“In 2025, we received a 4-star rating from Skytrax. Next year, our target is to achieve 5 stars,” President Director of InJourney Airports Mohammad R. Pahlevi said in a statement on Tuesday.

He emphasized that the goal reflects the company’s commitment to transforming air travel services in Indonesia.

Soetta Airport also improved its global ranking, climbing to 25th place in the 2025 World’s Top 100 Airports, up from 28th the year before.

Pahlevi added that the airport will continue to enhance the overall passenger experience.

“We want to make meaning in our services. With our tagline ‘serving with heart,’ we are committed to constant improvement,” he said.

On the first anniversary of Angkasa Pura Indonesia’s establishment, the management and stakeholders conducted evaluations to strengthen operational efficiency and customer-focused services.

This included operational upgrades and terminal beautification, particularly at Terminal 3.

The Certified 4-Star Airport Rating was officially awarded during the Passenger Terminal Expo in Madrid, Spain, on April 9, 2025.

In the passenger volume category, Soekarno-Hatta ranked 3rd in the Best Airports 2025 by Size (50–60 million passengers) and 9th in the Best Airports in Asia.

This marked significant progress, as the airport had held a 3-Star Airport Rating since 2013.

Soetta also showed improvements in service quality, placing 10th in both the Best Airport Staff in Asia 2025 and the World’s Best Airport Immigration Services 2025.
