"There have been 13 job fairs in Jakarta involving people with disabilities. Approximately 150 job seekers with disabilities have been placed," Pramono said in Jakarta on Monday.
He hopes that all Jakarta residents, including people with disabilities, will have equal opportunities to find employment and benefit from Jakarta's economic growth.
Pramono stated that the Jakarta Provincial Government is providing opportunities to improve the skills of people with disabilities, believing that this will benefit not only the disabled community but also the community, and especially the Jakarta Provincial Government itself.
Therefore, Pramono requested that the Jakarta Provincial Manpower, Transmigration, and Energy Service provide skills development training for people with disabilities to prepare them for the workforce.
"Because not all people with disabilities have the opportunity to receive job training. If they haven't found work, it's better if we provide training at our training centers," he said.
The Jakarta Provincial Government on Monday organized a job fair for people with disabilities at Taman Ismail Marzuki in Jakarta. Attended by 21 companies, the event provided around 107 job opportunities to support inclusive employment for individuals with disabilities.
The target audience for the event was 300 job seekers with disabilities from high schools with special education backgrounds, high schools, vocational schools, diploma (D3), and bachelor's degrees.
Besides job openings, the event also offered various training programs, including digital marketing, public speaking, batik-making, and graphic design. It also featured an inspirational talk show on employment and motivation for people with disabilities to enhance their skills and confidence.
