“Carry out the electricity recovery in Aceh to the fullest. This problem has lasted for days, and the community needs power urgently,” he said here on Tuesday.
He delivered the statement while inspecting stockpiled materials prepared for transmission restoration at the Infantry Battalion 113/Jaya Sakti Command Post in Juli, Bireuen District.
Lahadalia noted that five high-voltage transmission towers collapsed due to floods and landslides in Bireuen and several other areas in Aceh on Wednesday (November 26). As a result, the electricity supply across most parts of the province has been crippled.
He expressed appreciation for the dedication of personnel involved in the recovery efforts, highlighting the difficult terrain that can only be accessed by air using helicopters.

“The terrain is not easy. Treat this mission as a call of duty and service to the nation. Ensure the electricity restoration proceeds without delay,” he said.
He also called for support from the Indonesian Military (TNI) to speed up the restoration of the five damaged towers.
“TNI support is crucial in the recovery of Aceh’s transmission network. Assistance from local governments is also needed so that repairs can proceed optimally,” he added.
Meanwhile, state electricity firm PLN President Director Darmawan Prasojo confirmed that five transmission towers must be rebuilt. The structures are located in flood-affected zones inaccessible by land.
“Mobilizing personnel and equipment must be done by helicopter because transport trucks cannot reach the area,” he said.
He added that installing replacement towers will require two days, with another two days needed for transmission cable installation.
“Once completed, the electricity supply throughout Aceh will return to normal. We continue working to accelerate the recovery of the transmission network,” Prasojo said.
