He praised the event’s wellness focus, particularly its inclusivity, which involved diverse groups including the deaf community.
He said the approach showed sport can be a shared space open to all without discrimination.
The minister also congratulated the Meta Run community on its four-year journey as a platform for runners and sports enthusiasts.
He said communities like Meta Run play a key role in raising public awareness of healthy lifestyles.
He added that such support helps embed sport as part of daily life and strengthens its potential as a health-based tourism driver.
He welcomed Meta Run’s contribution, saying its continued engagement with runners underscores sport’s value as a long-term investment.
He urged the public to sustain the positive trend in sports participation as part of broader community empowerment efforts, encouraging people to stay active and healthy.
