Investment and Downstreaming Minister Rosan Roeslani said he was invited to a luncheon with the president, which he would use to present updates on the formation of DSI under sovereign wealth fund Danantara.
Upon arriving at the Presidential Palace complex in Jakarta on Thursday, he told the press he intended to outline the mechanism for arranging the export body.
Concurrently serving as Danantara CEO, Roeslani refrained from divulging details of the report he would present to the president.
On the same occasion, Industry Minister Agus Gumiwang Kartasmita confirmed his attendance at the luncheon and said he planned to submit reports to the head of state.
“As a minister, I must be ready to report everything necessary,” he said.
Meanwhile, Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa noted he was going to brief President Prabowo on several issues, including manipulation of values in export-import trade documents.
Also spotted at the palace were Trade Minister Budi Santoso and Bank Indonesia Governor Perry Warjiyo.
Roeslani previously said the formation of DSI was a follow-up to the president’s directive to the State-Owned Enterprise Regulatory Agency (BP BUMN) to strengthen transparency and accountability in managing natural resource trade.
“We want to emphasize transaction transparency,” he said in Jakarta on Wednesday (May 20), after the government submitted its 2027 Macroeconomic Framework and Fiscal Policy Principles (KEM-PPKF).
He described the move as part of efforts to tackle under-invoicing and illicit transfer pricing practices in several Indonesian export commodities, which have long harmed state revenues from taxes, royalties, and foreign exchange earnings, while also affecting the accuracy of national trade data.
