"I hope the police and also the taskforce (on judicial mafia eradication) would help the police investigate the case," he said when met at the presidential office here on Tuesday.
Djoko also called for a harsh action against immigration officials who were proven having abused their authority to produce a forged passport for Gayus.
He said there should be no tolerance on legal violations including passport forgery.
On a separate occasion the minister of justice and human rights Patrialis Akbar said he had found a passport belonging to Soni Laksono who resembles Gayus Tambunan caught by camera watching in disguise a tennis match in Bali some time ago.
"There is a picture beside the name Soni Laksono of a man wearing a wig resembling Gayus," the minister said when met at the presidential palace.
He said Soni`s passport was allegedly modification. He said the passport was initially processed for a child named Margareta but it was later dropped. "However the number is still there because the form has been filled," he said.
Patrialis said the passport was used by Soni Laksono for going to Macau on September 24, 2010 by Mandala airline.
The directorate general of immigration records the passport was again used when Soni returned home on September 26, 2010.
Soni again used the passport for going to Kuala Lumpur on September 30. "This is really incredible. The photo is similar to the one caught in Bali," he said.
He said he had already ordered his men to investigate how the passport had been made by the East Jakarta immigration office.
He said the team was also still investigating alleged involvement of immigration officials in the process of changing the would-be passport holder from Margareta to Soni Laksono.
Patrialis said the change of identity was an extraordinary action. (*)
