During his stay, the head of state will attend the peak commemoration of the 65th National Press Day in Kupang, capital of East Nusa Tenggara province, on February 9, the chief of the event`s organizing committee, Andre Koreh, told a press conference here on Tuesday.
Yudhoyono is expected to pay a nostalgic visit in Atambua, capital of Belu district bordering Timor Leste, on the following day.
In Belu, the president will meet with soldiers of the Satya Yudha Bhakti infantry battalion 744 of which he was formerly commander.
"The organizing committee has held a meeting with the President and he said he would stay in East Nusa Tenggara for three days," he said.
However, he added that he did not know when exactly the president and entourage, including First Lady Ani Yudhoyono would arrive in Kupang.
"We do not know exactly whether he will arrive on February 8 or 9 because we are still coordinating with the national organizing committee," he said.
To be sure, the President, along with 12 Cabinet ministers would attend the peak commemoration of the 65th National Press Day on February 9, he said.(*)
