"Of the 13 badly burnt dead bodies two had been identified, and already taken by their relatives," a Krakatau Medika hospital official Budiono said Tuesday.
Now only 11 dead bodies had yet to be identified not by examining their DNA but their bones and skills.
"One of the dead victims Buhairi of Kendal, Central Java, had been identified by his relatives who recognized him from the silver bracelet he was wearing," he said.
While the second one Bowo Noviadi of Palembang was recognized by a red ring he was wearing.
"The two had already been brought to heir homes for burial," he said.
In the meantime the remaining 11 dead bodies cannot be identified as their bones had dried up.
"A DNA test is still possible if the bones are still relatively wet, or still covered with blood. Let us hope the rest could also be eventually identified one way or another," he said. (*)
