The President and entourage arrived at 8 pm and welcomed by Paul VB Mella Regent and local traditional dances at the government hall of Timor Tengah Selatan.
The head of state called at SoE in his official visit to East Nusa Tenggara since Tuesday till Friday.
While in Kupang, the President inaugurated the peace gong and a clever home as well as attend the national press day anniversary.
SoE is 110 km from Kupang and can be reached by land in three hours.
Before reaching SoE, the President and the First Lady inspected an animal farm and salt production center in Kupang regency.
During the inspection the President and First Lady received an explanation from Regent Ayub Titu on the cow farm and artificial insemination, and have a dialog with the salt farmers.
When spending the night at SoE, the head of state and his wife stayed at the official residence of the Regent of Timor Tengah Selatan.
On Thursday morning, the President and entourage were scheduled to proceed to Atambua and spend the night at 744 Infantry Battalion and inspect the border region. (*)
