"He was very shocked, unexpected."Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The presidential palace is making preparations for responding to Wikileaks reports on President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, published on two Australian newspapers, The Age and The Sydney Morning Herald, a spokesman said.
In a press conference held at the presidential office, here, Friday, presidential spokesman Julian Aldrin Pasha denied the validity of the news from Wikileaks which accused President Yudhoyono of being involved in corruption and abuse of power.
Julian Aldrin Pasha, however, did not give details of the being prepared response.
He just explained that the government was preparing its rights of reply to the two Australian newspapers, while the foreign affairs ministry would ask clarification from the US Ambassador to Indonesia because the Wikileaks` source was diplomatic notes sent by the US embassy to Washington DC.
Pasha said the presidential palace could not find any truth in the news report and it was not based on facts.
The Wikileaks source referred by the Age and the Sydney Morning Herald, itself needed to be verified about its validity, he added.
"We must realize ourselves that the Wikileaks institution have created so many news almost throughout the world with credibility difficult to be accounted," he said.
The US embassy should give clarification to the public regarding the diplomatic notes revealed by the Wikileaks, he said.
President Yudhoyono found out about the news on Thursday evening and his first reaction was that he was shocked, according to Pasha.
"He was very shocked, unexpected. We see that the news is inaccurate and being presented in careless way," Julian said.
