Umar Patek, Indonesia`s most-wanted terrorist fugitive was arrested by Pakistani security authorities in Pakistan late last month.
Chairman of House Commission-I Mahfudz Siddiq said a number of terrorism cases including the possible extradition of Umar Patek would be discussed at a working meeting with BIN here on Monday.
"We are going to discuss a number of terrorism cases, especially the one related to Umar Patek," Mahfudz said.
He added that House would ask for a clarification of the result of negotiations between the Indonesian government and the Pakistani authorities to have Umar Patek extradited to his country of origin.
"We want to ask for a clarification about the development of negotiations conducted by a team of the Indonesian Police and BIN in Pakistan and to find out whether on not Umar Patek can be extradited," Mahfudz said.
Umar Patek was actively involved in the October 12, 2002 bombings at Paddy`s Cafe and Sari Club in the island resort of Bali that killed at least 202 people, mostly Australian tourists.
To ensure the possibility of having Umar Patek extradited, the Government of Indonesia has sent to Pakistan a special team, made up of the members of the police, BIN, and the National Counter-terrorism Agency (BNPT).
The members of the team were able to meet Umar Patek alias Abdul Ghoni at a Jain in Pakistan on Sunday.
"The government of Pakistan is ready to open access to Patek starting on Monday, said National Police official for trans national crime Senior Commissioner Adam Malik said on Monday.
But Adam added that he had yet to receive reports from the team, sent by the government to Pakistan.
Adam said the team was sent to Pakistan to make sure that the man arrested by the Pakistani authorities was truly Umar Patek.
