Sleman, Yogyakarta (ANTARA News) - Anti terror police shot dead three suspected terrorists during a raid at Sanggrahan village in Sukoharjo district, Central Java, early Saturday morning.

Heru, 55, a local resident, said the police in a shootout around 1 am until 1.15 paralyzed two terror suspects.

"I woke up after I heard about 20 gunshots, and when I looked out of my window I saw two lifeless bodies lying on the roadside not far from my house," Heru said.

He said that at about 3 am afterward, the police raided a rented house of Agus and seized some evidence among others six rifles, several textbooks on Islam, some pieces of iron, and vests.

According to information from the scene, Agus` house was rented by Endro Yunanto, his wife, and two children.

Meanwhile Prapti, a neighbor, said Enro and his family stayed at the house for about three months and worked as an ice cream vendor while his wife was a snack seller at a nearby market.

"Hendro sells ice cream and his wife sells snacks but we do not know much about the family because they are no good mixers," Prapti said.

She added that the police came to the house at 3 am and took away Endro Yunanto but left his wife and the two children.

Meanwhile it was reported that the bodies of the three terror suspects have been taken to Bhayangkara Hospital in Yogyakarta on Saturday.

A Bhayangkara hospital source spoke on condition of anonymity that the the bodies of the three suspected terrorists arrived at the hospital at 4 am on Saturday.

"They were immediately taken to the hospital morgue

with tight security precautions from 88 Special Detachments of Yogyakarta and Sleman," said the hospital source.
