The vice president and his wife Herawati Boediono arrived at the hospital at 8.20 a.m. They later went straight to the 7th floor of the hospital where Mustafa was being treated.
Boediono met with Mustafa for about 15 minutes. He later left the hospital for his office on Jl Merdaka Selatan in Central Jakarta.
A number of ministers, national figures and businessmen visited Mustafa at the hospital the day before.
Among the top officials were Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Hatta Rajasa, Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Minister Fadel Muhammad, Secretary of the State Enterprises Ministry Mahmudin Yasin, and Deputy for Primary Businesses to the State Enterprises Minister Megananda Daryono.
Also visiting on Tuesday were members of the House of Representatives (DPR) E Herman Khaerow and Marzuki Daud as well as members of the boards of directors including Bank BRI President Director Sofyan Basyir, Bahana Securities President Director Eko Yuliantara, Bahana Pembiayaan Usaha Indonesia (BPUI) Director Sunaryadi, and Jasa Raharja President Director Diding S Anwar.
Mustafa was admitted to Medistra Hospital at 11.00 a.m. on Tuesday.
The personal secretary of the state enterprises minister, Faisal Halimi said before being admitted to Medistra Hospital Mustafa was rushed to MMC Hospital in Kuningan, South Jakarta, at 03.30 a.m. on Tuesday.
Mustafa was chief of the National Logistics Board (Bulog) before being appointed state enterprises minister in October 2009.
