Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Indonesia won its first gold in the women`s pair embu for yudansha class of the 26th Southeast Asian Games` shorinji kempo competition at East Jakarta`s Cirasas Sports Hall here on Friday.

The gold medal in the women`s pair embu for yudansha class was grabbed by the Indonesian duo Ninik Purwanti - Ika Puspa Dewi with a score of 269.

Vietnam clinched the silver medal through its athletes Tran Thi My Duyen who paired up with Le Duong Lan Phuong with a score of 258.

The bronze medal went to Laos through its athletes Chansouda Phetsiriseng pairing with Bounmy Saysombath, scoring 253.
