President Yudhoyono said the current crisis was almost like that of 2008.Semarang, Central Java (ANTARA News) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono called on all provincial governors here on Friday to be prepared for the impact of the global crisis in 2012 and beyond.
Speaking at a provincal governors meeting here on Friday President Yudhoyono said the current crisis was almost like that of 2008.
What makes it different was that the crisis in 2008 started in the US while the present one began in Europe, he said.
He said however that "the impact will be the same. Sooner or later it will affect the economy."
At the meeting with the participants of the 4th National Meeting of the Association of Indonesian Provincial Governments (APPSI) President Yudhoyono did not give a lot of directives.
"I rather wish to hear your inputs for further response later," he said.(*)
