Pandeglang, Banten (ANTARA News) - Floods triggered by two days of incessant rain on Saturday inundated four sub-districts in Pandeglang, Banten province, a local official said on Saturday.

"As of Saturday morning the floods have inundated four sub-districts with a water depth of 70 to 100 centimeters but so far there has been no reports of casualties," Pandeglang Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) spokesman Rifai said.

He said flood waters had covered the sub-districts of Munjul, Sobang, Panimbang, and Cigeulis in Pandeglang district but none of the flood victims had moved to safer areas.

"We hope the flood waters can subside as soon as possible so that the people can do their daily activity again," Rifai said, adding that his side was still waiting for reports about the number of houses submerged in the flood.
