Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Visiting New Zealand Prime Minister John Key is scheduled to meet with President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono on Tuesday, Teuku Faizasyah, of the presidential special staff for international relations, said in a press statement on Monday.

Teuku added that the New Zealand prime minister, invited by President Yudhoyono, arrived in Jakarta on Sunday for a state visit that will continue until Wednesday.

"As one of the South Pacific countries, New Zealand has much potential related to, among others, geothermal energy, agriculture, the environment, and education, for bilateral cooperation with Indonesia," Teuku said.

He added that the visit to Indonesia by John Key also was meant to enhance bilateral cooperation in various international forums and create a positive contribution to create a more peaceful, stable, and prosperous Asia-Pacific region.

According to Teuku, the New Zealand prime minister was accompanied by the country`s trade minister and a 40-member delegation of leading businessmen.

Teuku said President Yudhoyono would receive Prime Minister John Key on Tuesday for a bilateral meeting to discuss cooperation in energy, animal husbandry and the education sector, in addition to other regional and global issues.
