Stella Artois' partnership with one of the world's most renowned film festivals flows from the brand's long-time support of excellence in cinema. During this year's film festival, the brand once again brought unique film experiences to its fans around the world through private film screenings and exclusive events in Cannes and around the world. For the lucky Stella Artois fans who won a once-in-a-lifetime trip to this year's Cannes Film Festival, the experience included not only five-star hotel accommodations at the prestigious Majestic Barriere Hotel, but also the unique opportunity to walk the red carpet at the Palais des Festivals before taking in a screening of a competition film.
Fans in Cannes also had the opportunity to visit the pop-up Cannes Cinema Club (http://cinemaclub.stellaartois.com/en_US ), located just off the famed Croisette. Open exclusively for the duration of this year's festival, the Cannes Cinema Club offered guests the opportunity to step back into Cannes circa 1963 - where the club is said to have inspired the great moments in film…or so legend has it. Oozing with the era's sleek, sophisticated cinematic style, the Cannes Cinema Club was the place to be during the festival, having played host to events with partners including IFC Films, the Film Society of Lincoln Centre, Mubi, and Little White Lies, to name a few. Actors and directors in attendance included Garrett Hedlund, star of On The Road, an official competition film, as well as Kellan Lutz, co-star of the Twilight series. The actors stopped by to enjoy a chalice of Stella Artois. The stars and director of Miss Lovely, an Official Selection for the festival's Un Certain Regard award, conducted press interviews in the space.
"The Cannes Film Festival exemplifies the sheer joy that surrounds filmmaking genius, and we are thrilled to deepen our relationship with this festival," said Pablo Firpo, Global Marketing Manager, Stella Artois. "We applaud the outstanding filmmakers who come to the Cannes Film Festival each year to showcase their art, and look forward to continuing our relationship with the iconic Cannes Film Festival."
