The Japan Coast Guard (JCG) team has so far rescued nine people, including four Indonesians.
"The four Indonesian people evacuated have been identified as Heri Harianto, Yudi Prasetyo, Syarifudin and Abdul Munir. Search is still on for the other Indonesian contract worker, named Ardianto," said Johny Sinaga, the Deputy Ambassador of Indonesian Embassy to Japan, in a press release received here on Monday.
"The four Indonesian crew members of the ship are now accommodated at the Japan Seaman Union in Myagi Perfectur, Ishinomaki, while Indonesian foreign ministry and embassy personnel are on their way to the site of the accident," he added.
The Indonesian Embassy will coordinate with local authorities to monitor the rescue efforts and ensure the well-being of the Indonesian workers.
