"We are meeting this time with the sole agenda of preparing RKP 2014," he said when opening the meeting.
The meeting was attended by Vice President Boediono, Coordinator Minister of Economic Affairs Hatta Rajasa, Coordinator Minister of People`s Welfare Agung Laksono, Finance Minister Agus Martowardojo, National Development Planning Minister Armida Alisjahbana, Domestic Affairs Minister Gamawan Fauzi, National Economic Committee chairman Chairul Tandjung, State Secretary Sudi Silalahi and Cabinet Secretary Dipo Alam.
"The RKP and state budget for next year must be precise and correct, because we need to be extremely careful in light of the global economic uncertainties," the President stated.
"Our previous experience and the recommendations from KEN will provide valuable inputs for RKP 2014," he pointed out.
The head of state urged the cabinet to make all efforts to prepare the best possible RKP 2014 and State Budget 2014.
"The RKP 2014 and State Budget 2014 are all the more important because we must deliver our best before completing our five-year term next year," he explained.
Therefore, the President added, the plans must not only be realistic but also be implemented effectively in order for the government to achieve its goals.(*)
