"Based on the result of our coordination with the Indonesian consulate general in Sydney, no Indonesian citizen fell victim to the flood," the ministry`s information and media director P.L.E. Priatna said here on Wednesday.
The Indonesian consulate general in Sydney kept monitoring latest developments in the flood which has claimed the lives of four people including a 3-year old child, he said.
"The Indonesian mission in Sydney will keep monitoring the latest developments in the flood," he said.
The flood cut power supplies to about 250 thousand homes in Queensland.
It is predicted that the flood will spread to other Australian state of New South Wales.
Storms accompanied by heavy rains affected part of Queensland and New South Wales.
To make thing worse, Burnett River which flows through Bundaberg overflowed, inundating an estimated 2,000 homes and 300 buildings in the business area.
The flood forced approximately 7,500 people to flee their homes.
Of the total, 1,000 people had been isolated on the roof of their houses before being evacuated by rescue workers.(*)
