this time is worse
Bekasi, W Java (ANTARA News) - A flood inundated around 10,000 homes in Bekasi city early Monday, forcing some 3,000 people to evacuate, according to the local disaster response agency (Tagana).

"The flood this time hit 14 different places along Bekasi river," the agency`s spokesman, Engkus Kustara said here on Tuesday.

The flood-affected areas included Pondok Gede Permai, Kemang Ifi Graha, Villa Jatirasa, Pondok Mitra Lestari, Jaka Kencana, Pekayon Jaya, Kemang Pratama, Delta Mas and Taman Century I housing complexes in Jatiasih sub-district, he said.

"The flood this time is worse than the January 18, 2013 flood because it spread to many areas, with the water current being faster and the water level at flooded homes reaching 5 cm," he said.

He said the agency had put up tents along with public kitchens in the worst-hit Pondok Gede Permai housing complex for three days.
