"The development of science and technology should continue to progress to solve social problems," the minister stated in his address on the occasion of the 18th National Technology Awakening Day at the Beautiful Indonesia in Miniature Park (TMII) event in East Jakarta on Thursday.
The technology minister noted that scientific and technological innovations aimed at national development should be based on the true needs of the community.
Gusti said the key to national progress lay not only in the potential of the country`s natural resources but also in its mastery of science and technology.
The National Technology Awakening Day follows the launch of the N250 plane, which is considered a symbol of improvements in technology in Indonesia.
