In connection with the eight names, President Jokowi urged the media to not get involved in the guessing game and clearly desisted from divulging any names.Jakarta (ANTARA News) - President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo will replace eight names in his ministerial candidate list in keeping with the recommendation of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) and the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK).
"As we submitted it (the ministerial candidates names) to the PPATK and KPK, and there are eight names that were not allowed. That is all. I will not mention their names," President Jokowi stated at the State Palaces yard here on Wednesday, accompanied by Indonesian Military Commander General Moeldoko and Indonesian Police Chief General Sutarman.
President Jokowi had submitted 43 names of prospective ministerial candidates to the KPK and the PPATK to scrutinize the track records of their wealth.
In connection with the eight names, President Jokowi urged the media to not get involved in the guessing game and clearly desisted from divulging any names.
"The media should not write and guess their names. I warn you, I need to confirm this (that no media will be guessing)," Jokowi stressed.
President Jokowi pointed out that some elements of the media had released names, but, in fact, they had given incorrect information.
He emphasized that the refusal to publicly cite the names was intended to safeguard the reputation of the concerned individuals.
President Jokowi also declined from informing the press whether the eight names rejected by the KPK belonged to any political parties.

"I have said after the inauguration that I will announce the cabinet soon. As soon as possible. We want to start work immediately, but what if it was quick, but was a mistake?" he added.(*)
