The vice governor was evacuated from the police Mobile Brigade (Brimob) headquarters by armored vehicle to a safer place, ANTARA News learned.
According to an ANTARA News source, initially the vice governor had rejected the evacuation although the headquarters was showered by bullets by unknown persons.
The vice governor came to the Brimob headquarters on Wednesday evening after he heard about a clash in the location.
Along with military (TNI) and Brimob officials he had conducted mediation that led to a peaceful agreement before the headquarters were then showered with bullets.
He tried to reconcile Brimob and TNIs Infantry Battalion (Yonif) 134 Tuah Sakti following the clash.
