The message was delivered by Hinca Panjaitan, the general secretary of Democratic Party, after visiting Ani at the National University Hospital, Singapore, on Monday.
"Mrs. Ani thanked all Indonesian people who prayed for her wellness," Panjaitan stated.
He noted that it was his intention to fly all the way to Singapore from Jakarta with his colleagues to give his support to SBY and Ani.
He was welcomed by SBY on the hospital`s 8th floor, but they were not allowed to meet Ani personally due to her condition.
"We were greeted by Mr. SBY, and we did a video call with Mrs. Ani," Panjaitan remarked.
Based on the information gathered by Antara, Ani?s condition has been getting better, and she is ready to take the next step of recovery through chemotherapy.
In the last two weeks, doctors have been trying to stabilize Ani`s health in a bid to make her ready for chemotherapy.
Meanwhile, Ani`s visitors on Monday had been relatively less than the day before.
Apart from Panjaitan and his colleagues, some legislative candidates of Gerindra Party for Riau Islands and three of SBY`s family members paid a visit and they also left a video message to the former first lady.
