President Jokowi believes East Java's infrastructure sector and the working culture of the local people strongly supported the growth of investment in the province.
"I see that both infrastructure and the working culture in East Java Province increasingly favor the development of investment there. The community is open and has quite good productivity," President Jokowi remarked while chairing a limited meeting to discuss the acceleration of development in East Java at the Presidential Palace in Bogor, West Java, on Tuesday.
East Java, with its infrastructure and community, is expected to emerge as one of the provinces that can notably contribute to the nation's economic growth.
To this end, the head of state invited East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa to discuss efforts along with the relevant ranks to expedite development in East Java.
The president appealed to all relevant parties to focus on one or two major tasks through which it will become easier for all parties to realize and complete the work.
"Maybe one, two, or three. We focus, we do it right, but we can complete it in the fastest possible time, so that there really is a concrete increase, in this case, in the economic growth in East Java and boost national economic growth," he added.
