"As a sports body, we must commit to the principle of fair play. It means PSSI accepts the loss in last night's match, and we laud Malaysia's victory. If we have not acted in accordance with the rules, PSSI will accept the consequences," Ratu Tisha, the sport body's secretary general stated in Jakarta on Friday.

FIFA has a clear regulation in term of submitting reports and imposing sanctions, Tisha said. "In an international soccer match, FIFA has its own security officers and match commissioners to oversee the players and the game," she stated.
Therefore, a report submitted by the oMalaysian soccer federation (FAM) would not determine FIFA's decision against the Indonesian football body over the incident.
Malaysian supporters who became victims of the violent act had received treatment and returned home, Tisha further explained.
A few Indonesian supporters threw bottles and smoke bombs during the second round of the first home-away match between Indonesia and Malaysia of the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualification. Following the incident, the game was stopped for 10 minutes.
During the match that was held Thursday, Indonesia lost 2-3. Indonesia's national team will meet Thailand next in the group knockout stage on September 10.
