Jakarta (ANTARA) - As many as 195 patients have recovered from COVID-19 in Indonesia on Monday, taking the total count of recoveries to 4,324, government spokesperson for the handling of COVID-19, Achmad Yurianto, said.



"The number of patients dying (of COVID-19) has also increased by 43 to 1,191," he said at the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) building in Jakarta on Monday.



He said the number of confirmed coronavirus cases has risen by 496 to 18,010. Meanwhile, 11,422 patients have been put under surveillance and 45,047 people have been placed under surveillance.



COVID-19 has spread to all 34 provinces in Indonesia, affecting 389 districts and municipalities in the country.



Overall, the government has tested 190,600 samples from 143,035 people, with 18,010 people testing positive for COVID-19 and 125,025 others testing negative for the virus.



Yurianto reiterated a request to people to get accustomed to the new normal by leading a clean and healthy life.



"Get accustomed to washing hands with soap, wearing masks, keeping distance from other people, staying at home, and not returning to hometowns (to celebrate Id al Fitr)," he advised. (INE)
