This will be the final (phase of) PSBB, if we remain disciplinedJakarta (ANTARA) - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan has extended large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) by another 14 days: from May 22 to June 4, 2020.
This is the third phase of restrictions after the PSBB was first implemented on 10 April, 2020 to break the chain of the spread of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), Anies said in Jakarta on Tuesday.
The PSBB over the next two weeks will be decisive in controlling the spread of COVID-19 in Jakarta, he noted.
The key is that residents continue to obey PSBB provisions.
"This will be the final (phase of) PSBB, if we remain disciplined," Anies said.
In Jakarta, the number of patients infected with corona virus type 2 (SARS-CoV-2) has increased by 43 compared to latest data collated on Monday, when the number was reported at 6,010.
The increase in the number of confirmed patients is based on the results of a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) examination conducted yesterday.
Of the total patients who tested positive for COVID-19, 1,417 have made a complete recovery, an increase of 116 compared to yesterday, when their number stood at 1,301. (INE)
