He also ignored a police warning (to stop the concert).Semarang, C Java (ANTARA) - The police have named Deputy Chief of the Tegal City Legislative Council (DPRD) Wasmad Edi Susilo as a suspect for allegedly hosting a dangdut music concert during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Susilo is charged with violating Law No. 6 of 2018 on health quarantine, Chief of the Tegal City Police Adjunct Chief Commissioner Rita Wulandari noted in a press statement released on Tuesday.
Susilo was believed to have hosted a dangdut concert for his children's circumcision and wedding celebration on Sept 23, 2020, in which the attendees comprised thousands of people, without adherence to the requisite health protocols, Wulandari remarked.
"He was also not heedful of a police warning (to stop the concert)," she stated.
Wulandari spoke of the police having questioned 18 witnesses in the case and seized several items as pieces of evidence that comprised a guest book, written statement made by Wasmad Edi Susilo and video recording.
Susilo hosted a dangdut concert for his children's circumcision and wedding celebration at the South Tegal square on Sept 23 without prior consent from the police. The concert attracted thousands of people amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
