The mayor deemed these actions as necessary in order to help the government stem the spread of active COVID-19 cases in Jakarta.
"We will continue to supervise the implementation of Level 4 community activities restriction by compelling the people to apply health protocols in every activity. For vaccines, (the process of administering vaccinations) will be (conducted more), so West Jakarta’s people are all vaccinated," Kuswanto noted in Jakarta on Tuesday.
Moreover, the public is expected to partake in the mass vaccination program hosted by the Jakarta provincial government, which is available in every sub-district.
Speaking in connection with the supervision of people, Kuswanto admitted that no stricter measure was adopted during the extended period of Level 4 PPKM.
"It is as usual in West Jakarta and just going according to the newest policy," he stressed.

President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) announced the extension of Level 4 PPKM on August 3-9, 2021.
"By taking into account several indicators for this week's cases, the government has decided to continue to enforce Level 4 PPKM starting from August 3 to August 9, 2021, in several districts, with adjustments for people's activities and mobility made according to each region's condition," President Jokowi noted in a statement broadcasted on YouTube.
The government had earlier enforced emergency PPKM on July 3-25, 2021, followed by level 1 to 4 PPKM from July 26 to August 2, 2021.
"Level 4 community activities restriction, implemented from July 26 to August 2, 2021, yielded some good (results) nationally as compared to previous (community activities restriction), be it in the number of daily confirmed cases, positivity rate, recovery rate, or the bed occupancy rate," the head of state pointed out.
President Jokowi also thanked Indonesian citizens for their understanding and support for the enforcement of PPKM.
"The people and government's choice is one and the same, that is facing the life-threatening COVID-19 pandemic and the economic threat of job losses," he remarked.
President Jokowi suggested that the policy of applying the brake must be done dynamically following the recent trend of COVID-19 cases in order to combat the pandemic.
"We cannot prepare the same policy in the long term. We have to decide the mobility rate of the people according to the latest data, so that our choice is right for handling health or economic issues," he stated.
He also reminded that adherence to health protocols was the key to collectively protecting the people's health and economic conditions.
"I laud the participation and support of volunteers and generous people, who helped the government in enforcing health protocols, facilitating self-isolation, and other social efforts," he emphasized. Related news: PPKM extension should be followed by policy improvement: PAN
