The special flight route will be separate from the civilian passengers' route.
"We agreed that our international flights will use a special route separate from that for general passengers to help maintain health protocols," Head of the Communications Bureau of the Coordinating Ministry for Maritime Affairs and Investment Andreas Dipi Patria stated during a discussion here, Monday.
Apart from the provision of special routes, the government will also set up a hospitality desk at designated airports to serve the arriving G20 delegates, he added.
"For instance, check-in points at the airport, such as customs, immigration, and port health, take quite a long time. We will also set this up at a particular venue to separate G20 delegates from the other passengers. All efforts aim to avoid crowds as well as to implement health protocols," Patria remarked.

Patria spoke of his side having coordinated with the Transportation Ministry regarding flight arrangements to ensure smooth implementation of the series of activities of the G20 Summit.
These steps need to be confirmed across ministries since the events of the G20 Summit are also planned to be held in almost 20 major cities in Indonesia.
"We have coordinated closely with the Ministry of Transportation to ensure that the arrival and departure procedures are well managed," he stated.
Furthermore, Patria conveyed that some foreign delegates would most likely use private planes. Hence, the government has coordinated with related parties to regulate air traffic by taking into account the entire schedule and venue of the event.

"Of course, AirNav will help with routes and flight schedules. It will be arranged in a way that it will not interfere with civil flights during the event," Patria remarked.
He later noted that all these preparations reflected Indonesia's seriousness in providing the best service for all participants and delegates of the G20 Summit.
"Thus, this will be able to gain their trust about service and facility regarding access points at the event's venues," he noted.
